My Joseph Diary
Theatre Royal, Windsor
Wednesday 15 May 2002

Carl and I arrived in Windsor at 6.40pm, after driving round for nearly an hour trying to get into town, we passed Brian on our way round and said hi.  We found somewhere to park and went to get something to eat.  Managed to get to the theatre by 7pm.   We sat in our seats in the front row and waited!  The show started and everyone was quiet, Vivienne came on and spotted us straight away, when the back drop went up the cast looked in good humour.  As the show unfolded the cast started to spot us one by one.  We could see side stage for where we sat which was great as we could watch the goings on there as well as on stage, though we couldn't see alot as they had black outs there.  But we still managed to watch John Melvin do his talking Camel and Sphinx.
Graham was fantastic as always and so was Trevor and Vivienne,  Lynden O'Neil is great as the Baker, a worthy person to follow in Russel's footsteps.  Close Every Door was spine tingling as always. The whole show was just one big party.  Everyone put the utmost best into the show and the audience loved it.  We were sat in the middle of a big group of people who were from aboard and they really got into it.
In the interval we met a little girl who was quite happy to tell us the story and tell us how naughty Joseph was for not feeding his brothers!!!  She was such a lovely little girl, wish I had got her name now.  Also when we went back to our seats a lady came up to me asking if I was Tanith and if my friend (Carl)and I were on a web site, of course I told her yes I ran the site, anyway she was with a lady I'd met there the year before when Glen was Joseph, so we had a good old chat.
The second half of the show was as good as always.  Trevor put in his all for Song of the King, the lady next to me thought he was gorgeous, I think she would of swapped places with Lisa any day!!  The second half flew by, Craig made me cry when Benjamin got accused of stealing as he cried too.  The mega mix was the best as it was really a good old sing song, with the cast and audience singing, Graham bent down on one knee and sang to me when singing Go go Joseph in the mega mix, which was lovely.  When we were asked to get up and dance we were the first two up!!
After the show we went straight to the bar as we were meeting Jenette and the others for a drink, we waited and waited, we then fond out that they were having talks on stage, with we thought David Stedman as Carl had seen him.  But when the cast came into the bar we found out it was Bill Kenwright who was talking to them all.  Sadly I didn't get to meet him as he stayed in the auditorium to sort some technical bits out or something.  Anyway we had a great time chatting to Jenette, Lisa came over to say hi, so did Faye, Vivienne and Trevor.  Graham came over too.  Bryan sat with us for a bit before we all got chucked out the theatre as it was closing.  Most of the cast said hi.  We left the theatre with Jenette and Bryan at 11.30pm.  We had a great night and got home at 1.20am!  We hope to see the show in Crawley as it will be the last time we see it till November probably.  Well till next month, take care.
